Sunshine Oleochem (SOC) was operating their Fatty Acid plant using a single splitting column. SOC wanted a cost effective way of doubling their capacity. ARMACO assisted SOC in locating three used splitting columns operating at bar pressure. ARMACO then completed a detailed engineering design to link up these splitters with one new splitter, to set up a 150TPD splitting section. To ARMACO's knowledge, this was the first time that 4 splitters in series were used in India). ARMACO also completed the detailed engineering design for a 50TPD glycerol distillation plant using Sulzer structured packaging. The entire plant has been installed and is operating at rated capacities producing IP grade quality.
